Artstickerx Wired 連動企画 Wanderlust展に参加してます
コロナの収束の道はまだ未知数ですが、旅したい今日この頃です。
そんな中お世話になっているArtstickerx高感度カルチャー雑誌 WIRED 日本版の 連動企画のオンラインexhibition "Wanderlust展"に参加することになりました。
wanderlustとは旅熱や越境への憧れや放浪癖と訳され、コロナ禍で国内や地元に足止めをされている今多くの人がもっとも求めている願望かもしれません。そんな欲望に火をつける作品が本展のテーマだそうでそうそうたる芸術家が参加しています。
いろんな土地を作品の中に表現しているわたしとしては参加できて嬉しいです。

WANDERLUST 越境への欲望
旅行熱／放浪癖などと訳される「Wanderlust（ワンダーラスト）」、その原義は「世界を探求したいという強い欲望」のこと。
人類は180万年ほど前にアフリカを出発すると、つい数カ月前まで、地球上を絶えず移動し続けてきました。いつの時代もワンダーラストはイノヴェイション（異種混交）とグローバリゼーションを誘発するものでした。
いまはここにとどまれと誰もが囁き、現状を受け入れろと世界が迫るときに、人類はいつだって、越境（トランス）することで新たな風景（リアル）を紡いできました。
「世界を探求したいという強い欲望」はいまや次なるグレートジャーニーを準備し、2020年代における「ワンダーラスト」の意味を問い、その欲望の在り処と目的地を探ります。この特集テーマと連動して、ArtStickerでは公募形式の「WANDERLUST展 -越境への欲望-」を開催いたします。

"Wanderlust," the theme of the current WIRED issue, is usually translated as travel fever, but its original meaning is "a strong desire to ramble the world". From the time when humans first left Africa about 1.8 million years ago, members of the genus Homo continued to move around the globe until just a few months ago. Wanderlust is a thing that has literally led to innovation (heterogeneity) and globalization in every age. Our "strong desire to ramble the world" is preparing us for the next Great Journey, so we should now find out what "trans-border" means in the 2020s. In conjunction with the theme of this issue, ArtSticker is holding an open call for entries for the exhibition "WANDERLUST ~ The Desire to Be Transborder ~".
